I am pleased to introduce you to the newest editions of my Heirlooms for Tomorrow. Here are twins, Tammy and Timmy who are only 4 inches small! They are miniatures of Edith Flack Ackley's wonderful vintage dolls. They are all handmade. For durability, Their bodies are made of flesh colored, top-quality SpringMaid muslin.
In keeping with Ackley's 1930s tradition of making her doll's faces, Their faces are embroidered with one strand of thread in black and almost red pink with pink pencil for rouge. Their beautifully styled hair is very small crochet cotton that is sewn on. All though it is hard to see in the picture, their tiny socks and shoes are painted. Their clothing is 100% cotton. Tammy's dress has a tiny floral pattern with silver bead buttons and a tiny machine embroidered pattern on her apron then around her waist with satin ribbon. Her panties are made of cotton batiste that I embroidered also. Timmy's clothing is white and blue broadcloth with tiny silver buttons and a tiny bow on his collar. They are truly wonderful dolls looking for a wonderful home. They would make great companions for your other dolls or cute pin dolls by attaching them to your lapel or blouse with a pin.
